Kavitha Surana from the Tampa Bay Times wrote this article, published on the front page of the Sunday paper regarding the bail reform efforts by the American Civil Liberties Union of Florida ("ACLU-FL"). I had the opportunity to partner with the ACLU-FL to get several indigent clients an affordable monetary bail or alternative pretrial release while I was working in a felony division at the Sixth Circuit Office of the Public Defender.
